This Sunday afternoon, Cahors Lot XIII faced a tough challenge when they visited the undefeated Villefranche d’Albi team at home (eight matches, eight victories) who had won four consecutive games in the championship. Facing a strong Tarn team, Cahors Lot XIII almost pulled off an upset, ultimately losing by twelve points with both teams level until less than ten minutes from the end.

Just before the hour mark, Villefranche d’Albi extended their lead with a local player’s breakthrough, but Cahors Lot XIII once again equalized with a try from Federico Rivera from a follow-up kick.

It was in the last five minutes that Villefranche d’Albi secured the win with another forward try and an interception leading to a try near the posts.
