In the United States, Donald Trump is seen as responsible for the surge in gasoline prices

On average, 39% for, 58% against: Americans are increasingly severe towards what used to be Donald Trump’s flagship card, namely his ability to revive the economy. In the United States, seven out of 10 people feel that their financial situation is deteriorating and worsening with the rise in gasoline prices linked to the war in Iran.

Certainly, the American president can still count on the hardcore of his party. The vast majority of Republican voters still support him. But he is losing the independents, a decisive fraction of the electorate, which will weigh heavily in the midterm elections in November.

Only a third of these undecided voters trust him. On border control and immigration policy, one of the White House’s favorite topics, the approval of the polls remains higher. But it has decreased due to his policy of mass deportations and the deadly raids of the ICE agency in Minnesota.
