Stephen Curry, the star player for the Golden State Warriors, will be out of action for at least another 10 days. This is due to a troublesome right knee injury that he is working to recover from. Curry, who is currently 37 years old, has missed the last 15 games as a result of patellofemoral pain syndrome. However, the team has reported that he has been making good progress and has started individual on-court workouts, which will increase in intensity as he progresses.
Curry will undergo another evaluation in 10 days, followed by a gradual return to practice activities including full-speed scrimmages before he can be cleared to play in games again. This timeline indicates that he will miss at least the next six games, which includes a matchup against the Atlanta Hawks on March 21. After this period, there will be 11 games remaining in the regular season.
Initially, the Warriors had hoped for Curry’s return right after the All-Star break, but he ultimately sat out the All-Star game this year. With an average of 27.2 points per game, Curry’s absence has been felt by the team, as they have struggled to maintain their performance without him. In the 24 games that he has missed this season, the Warriors have only won 9 and lost 17, including a 5-10 record during his most recent absence.
In their recent game against the Chicago Bulls, the Warriors suffered their third consecutive loss, marking their fifth loss in the last six games overall, including three defeats at home.
