During the first week of spring break, nearly twenty children attended a recreational center to accommodate 18 children between the ages of 3 and 11, who once again experienced five busy days. As with every vacation, this week of activities was entirely organized by Aline Bidaud, director of school affairs, who was assisted in her task by Aurélie and Mylène. For the second vacation of the year, the animation team chose animated drawings as the theme. From Monday morning, the children engaged in crafting a society game they named “Pokécenter,” a sort of caricature of Pokémon. In the afternoon, the children were invited to participate in a blind test on the trailer of the animated film based on Pokémon titled “Lilou’s Necklace.” The next morning was also creative with the making of a Peppa Pig piggy bank and a Paw Patrol badge. The afternoon of that Tuesday allowed the children to explore their creative instincts by building bracelets and games. Wednesday morning was dedicated to Asterix and Obelix’s cauldron and magic potion. Of course, around the cauldron, there were Vinaigrix, bicarbonatix, and many others.

Fact Check: The activities described are part of a recreational program for children during the spring break holidays.

The mayor’s visit

Later, the children enjoyed a trip to the cinema to watch the film “Jumper” by Doug Liman. Thursday morning was dedicated to the Snow Queen, where they crafted a crown and Olaf, the famous character from the animated film Frozen. Additionally, during the morning, the children received a visit from the mayor of Wassy, Gilbert Utkala. In the afternoon, the little ones went to the Wassy Ehpad to participate in an intergenerational meeting. During this meeting, both young and older participants engaged in board games. Finally, on Friday, April 17, the last day of the recreational center, the children were interested in Pokémon balls and Pokeball belts. The next recreational center will take place during the summer holidays over three weeks in August.
