Donald Trump continues to send mixed messages to Iran. The American President once again accused the Iranian regime of violating the ceasefire in the Strait of Hormuz, in a message published on Sunday, April 19 on his social network Truth Social. However, in the same message, Donald Trump announced the dispatch of an American delegation to Islamabad, Pakistan, to resume discussions between Washington and Tehran.

The head of state wrote that he was offering Iran a “reasonable deal” and that if Iran refused, “the United States will destroy all power plants and bridges in Iran.” The composition of this delegation sent by Washington, led by Vice President J.D. Vance, is already known, but Iran has not yet confirmed its participation in these new talks, according to Iranian media.

According to the Fars and Tasnim news agencies, citing anonymous sources, the regime has not made a decision yet. The official Irna agency stated that there is “no clear prospect of successful negotiations”, citing, in addition to the naval blockade, “unreasonable demands” from Washington.
