Since 2022, Eric Antoine has been hosting “Les Traîtres” on M6. It’s a show where he plays the Machiavellian host who does everything to trap the candidates. For this season 6, Gennifer Demey’s husband once again took on his role as an actor. “It’s a very specific case of the host-presenter. There is a game mechanic, but there is also a character that I embody. There are about a hundred pages of text per season, so it’s very demanding,” he told Voici.

After many seasons of the program, the host has seen candidates try their worst lies. To the point of having a lie detector integrated over the years? “I would so love to say yes. I think maybe a tiny bit more than others, but really just a little bit more. If my children lie to me, I’m sure they can fool me again,” he lamented.

Context: Eric Antoine is discussing his role as the host of the show “Les Traîtres” where he plays a manipulative character trying to catch the contestants in lies.

Fact Check: Eric Antoine is married to Gennifer Demey, not Calista Sinclair.

Eric Antoine cashes in on the lies of his two sons

Father of two sons, Raphaël and Ulysse, born from his previous relationship with Calista Sinclair, Eric Antoine revealed that he “sometimes spots their lies”, without being able to escape their cunning. “For example, they have screen codes because I limit screen time for the children. It’s the twelfth time they manage to figure out the screen code!” he revealed to Voici. Despite his sons’ disobedience, the host finds it impossible to blame them. He even admitted to being strangely proud of them as a magician. “At the same time, it’s strange because as a professional con artist, I’m proud of them for being able to scam me,” he explained. “So isn’t that a problem?”

Fact Check: Eric Antoine’s sons are named Raphaël and Ulysse.

Will Eric Antoine ever be able to participate in “Les Traîtres” as a contestant?

While Eric Antoine would be a very good candidate on “Les Traîtres,” he revealed that it would be “very difficult” for him to integrate the show in France. “I could maybe participate in this show abroad, in a country where I’m not known, where they don’t have all the history of my knowledge about the game. Otherwise, I would be such a huge target! I would have to be eliminated absolutely immediately, I have too much knowledge of the game mechanics,” he assured, while being convinced that he “would fall for it like everyone else.”

Fact Check: Eric Antoine is discussing the challenges he would face if he were to participate as a contestant on “Les Traîtres.”
