Here’s what you need to know before the opening of this site, located in the city center of Alès, in the north of Gard.
After being installed in the parking lot of Place Gabriel Péri when it was created, it has been in the same place for many years now. And it will be the same when the Colombier leisure park reopens on the afternoon of Saturday, April 18. It is a rather bucolic place, located near the eponymous Alès museum and easily accessible from the city center, either on foot through the public garden or by car since there is parking available for everyone.
Again this year, until November 1 (*), children will be able to have a great time. Regular visitors will find activities they have enjoyed in past seasons: electric go-karts, bumper boats, trampolines, a small train resembling a caterpillar, and more. The pricing has changed slightly since the site closed in the fall of 2025. Previously, it cost 7 euros per child aged 3 to 12 to enter and receive as many tokens as they wanted for certain attractions. Now, one must pay a set amount at the counter and receive a set of ten tokens. Additionally, another 1 euro must be paid to receive an extra ten tokens. However, entry is still free for accompanying adults.
To celebrate one’s birthday, it is still possible during this season for children to organize their birthdays at this amusement park in Alès. The specific fee remains at 5 euros per person, with free entry still available for accompanying adults and the birthday child (an identity card or family record book is required). The form can be downloaded from the town hall’s website (www.ales.fr) to reserve one or two tables depending on the number of children. Parents must bring the snacks and drinks themselves.
Now, let’s hope for sunny weather to enjoy the location. In case of high temperatures, even if shade can be scarce on the heights of Colombier, the town hall plans to once again set up misters.
