As part of the Vendredis de l’Agglo, Claire Méchin will perform at la Bergerie in Bouillargues (municipal park) on Friday, April 17 at 8:45 pm for a 1.5-hour show titled My vulva and my uku.

A daily singer and author, Claire Méchin trained in theater before developing work at the intersection of text and song. She explores formats combining acting, music, and writing, with a particular inclination towards contemporary creation and collaborative projects.

Humor and Songs

Her career has led her to work with different performing arts collectives. In her creations, she relies on humor and irony, especially through parody, to address social themes. Claire Méchin offers a musical show that combines humor, songs, and a critical view of society.

Recognized for its accuracy and originality, her work confirms her ability to reach a wide audience while maintaining a strong and personal artistic voice. Titled My vulva and my uku, the show is a solo musical performance accompanied by a ukulele. Claire Méchin revisits well-known songs and also offers compositions to humorously address themes related to feminism, gender stereotypes, and sexist violence.

Presented in several venues in France, the show has received coverage in the cultural press. The artist, also known for her collaborations (Blond and Blond and Blond, Les Filles de Simone), places laughter at the heart of this event, built around parodies of French song titles and a deliberately light scenic device.

Practical information: free entry.

Seats can be obtained on-site starting at 8 pm, subject to availability.
