Paris Saint-Germain provided an update on the health of Désiré Doué and Nuno Mendes, who were injured against Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday.

Thankfully, it seems to be more of a scare than a serious injury for both players. They were replaced in the 38th and 52nd minutes respectively during Paris’ 2-0 victory against Liverpool. As of now, they are not expected to miss the match against Lyon on Sunday. Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain’s coach, was not overly concerned after the win against Reds, stating that Désiré’s situation is just a knock and they need to assess Nuno’s condition. Both players were taken off in time to prevent more serious injuries.

According to the PSG staff, Désiré Doué suffered a knock to his right knee and will undergo treatment for the next two days before returning to team training. The players will have a rest day on Thursday, with training sessions scheduled for Thursday and Friday in preparation for the match against Lyon.

Nuno Mendes, on the other hand, has a minor issue with his right thigh and will receive treatment and do gym work for the next two days. Based on the club’s communication patterns, it is more likely that Désiré Doué will be available for the Lyon match than Nuno Mendes. However, they are both expected to be fit for the Champions League semi-final on April 28th and May 6th, against either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.
