Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday a strengthening of cooperation between his country and Azerbaijan in security and energy matters. It is the first visit to Azerbaijan since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

“We signed six documents today,” said the Ukrainian president after a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliev. “These cover various areas. Today, the main one is security,” he added.
