Celeste Rivas’ body was found dismembered and decomposed on September 8th. The teenager had been missing for many months. Originally from Riverside County, southeast of Los Angeles, she disappeared when she was 13 years old. The police discovered the body after being called to a Hollywood tow yard by employees and neighbors complaining of a strong odor coming from a vehicle. According to investigators, the car had been parked in this upscale area of the city, not far from a recently opened Tesla restaurant by Elon Musk, for nearly a month before being towed.
“Obscene Sexual Acts”
The 21-year-old rapper faces a mandatory life sentence or even the death penalty, stated the magistrate, Nathan Hochman. The charge of murder is accompanied by aggravating circumstances, including “particularly obscene sexual acts, obscene and lewd sexual acts with a person under 14, as well as mutilation of a corpse”.
This gruesome murder has attracted a lot of attention in the United States, especially because D4vd’s work seemed to echo it. The young man became famous in 2022 when his song “Romantic Homicide” skyrocketed on TikTok.
