War in the Middle East: images of the interception of an Iranian cargo ship by the United States

On Monday, April 20, Téhéran condemned an “act of armed piracy” after a US naval patrol seized one of its ships attempting to break the blockade of Iranian ports imposed by the United States. Helicopters taking off in the night, filmed with night vision goggles, followed by American soldiers boarding an Iranian ship. The visuals war continues in the Middle East as the US military announced on the night of Sunday, April 19 to Monday, April 20, the interception of an Iranian cargo ship. The ship was attempting to break the blockade of Iranian ports imposed by the United States and “refused to comply with warnings from US forces for six hours,” the US Army Central Command stated.

“US Marines departed from the USS Tripoli amphibious assault ship aboard helicopters and flew over the Sea of Oman to intercept and seize the M/V Touska ship,” the American military wrote. The propulsion system of the Touska had been “neutralized” by the US Navy.

Iran has vowed to “respond soon” to the US Navy’s takeover of one of its ships, accusing the United States of violating the ceasefire. “The armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will respond soon and take retaliatory action against this act of armed piracy and against the American military,” the Iranian military spokesperson wrote on Telegram.
