The US Navy fired on an Iranian cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman and took control
The US military opened fire on an Iranian cargo ship attempting to breach the US blockade of Iranian ports and took control of it, President Donald Trump confirmed Sunday on his Truth Social network.
The Iranian-flagged cargo ship, the Touska, “tried to breach our maritime blockade, and it did not go well for them,” wrote the US president.
A US destroyer intercepted the cargo ship “in the Gulf of Oman and ordered it to stop,” but the crew refused to comply, and the warship immobilized it by firing at the engine room, “and the US Marines now have control of the ship,” according to Donald Trump.
A French ship from CMA CGM “came under warning fire” in the Strait of Hormuz
A CMA CGM ship “was subjected to warning shots yesterday (Saturday) in the Strait of Hormuz, and its crew is safe,” the French maritime transport group confirmed to RTL in a brief statement.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) also confirmed that the CMA CGM Everglade ship was “damaged” on Saturday, without providing further details.
US President Donald Trump had earlier claimed on his Truth Social network that Iranian shots had targeted a “French ship” as well as a British cargo.

“By deliberately inflicting collective punishment on the Iranian population, it amounts to a war crime and a crime against humanity,” added the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esma’il Bagha’i. The US president also accused Tehran on Sunday of violating the ceasefire between the two countries by attacking ships in the strait.
Trump: “No more Mr. Nice Guy”

In a message on Truth Social, Donald Trump also offered Iran a “reasonable deal” and in case of refusal from Tehran, “the United States will destroy all power plants and bridges in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!”
