With these new strikes, at least 168 people have been killed since September 2025 and the start of the American military campaign against presumed drug traffickers in the waters of the Pacific and the Caribbean.

The United States carried out new strikes on Saturday in the Pacific Ocean against presumed drug trafficker boats, killing five men, the American military announced on Sunday.

The strikes were carried out against two vessels on April 11, announced the American military command for Latin America and the Caribbean (Southcom) in a post on X, accompanied by aerial video of the attacks. “Two male narco-terrorists were killed, and one narco-terrorist survived the first strike. Three male narco-terrorists were killed in the second strike,” specified Southcom.

With these new strikes, at least 168 people have been killed since September 2025 and the start of the American military campaign against presumed drug traffickers in the waters of the Pacific and the Caribbean.

The administration of Donald Trump has never provided solid evidence to affirm that the targeted ships were actually involved in trafficking. The legality of this campaign has sparked a lively debate worldwide and within the American political class. Experts and UN officials have denounced extrajudicial executions.
