In La Roque

In the framework of the Durance Rive Gauche festival, the association Heritage, Art, and Culture presided over by Michèle Guérin has launched a comprehensive cultural project in partnership with the National Education since the start of the school year.

Educational files were sent to the schools of the five villages involved, laying the groundwork for an exceptional meeting between students and the artist David Abisror.

A few days ago, Michèle Guérin accompanied the painter in a true human and artistic tour de force: five classes met at Peyrolles, while simultaneously five classes from Puy-Sainte-Réparade visited the exhibition. Then eight classes welcomed him to La Roque-d’Anthéron.

    Confronting ideas

In Jouques, a particularly moving moment, a teacher and her students came to present the artist with the work they had done based on his artwork. Three-quarters of an hour was dedicated to each class: time for questions, exchanges, and wonder.

In total, 438 students were able to interact with David Abisror. The adventure does not stop there. The drawings made by the children, inspired by the artist’s work, will be brought together at the end of the exhibitions to create a virtual museum, curated by the National Education and accessible online, before being the subject of exhibitions in the municipalities. A virtuous circle has been initiated: passionate about their encounter with the artist, children now lead their parents to discover the exhibited works.

Don’t miss the last days of David Abisror’s exhibition: visible until May 15 at the Jean-Marc Bourry gallery, 13 cours Foch.
