Police in Louisville, Kentucky are currently investigating a tragic incident where a bicyclist was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Monday night. The incident took place on West Pages Lane in southwest Louisville around 8:30 p.m.
According to reports, the bicyclist was traveling along West Pages Lane when a vehicle traveling in the same direction struck him. The impact caused the bicyclist to lose control and become trapped underneath the vehicle. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle continued for a short distance before stopping and calling for help. The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Unit is leading the investigation and will collaborate with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office to determine if any charges are necessary.
At this time, the identity of the deceased bicyclist is being withheld pending notification of his family. West Pages Lane remains closed as authorities continue their investigation.
