It is reported that the Israeli army continues to destroy houses in the localities it occupies in southern Lebanon, despite the ceasefire in effect.
According to the official Lebanese agency NNA, the Israeli army targeted houses with tank fire in the Bint Jbeil district, belonging to the Nabatieh governorate, currently under occupation.
Additionally, it is indicated that Israeli soldiers blew up structures using explosives in the locality of Rmeish, while continuing the destruction of houses between Bint Jbeil and the locality of Yaroun, in the southern part of the country.
Furthermore, the Israeli army had already announced that it would continue its destruction operations in the occupied areas of southern Lebanon, despite the temporary ceasefire.
On the other hand, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated his intention to replicate a similar level of destruction in southern Lebanon as seen in the Gaza Strip, especially in the cities of Rafah and Beit Hanoun, referring to the “Gaza model.”
– Israeli attacks in Lebanon and the ceasefire
The Israeli army launched an intense campaign of airstrikes against Lebanon on March 2, occupying several localities in the southern part of the country.
At the same time, the Lebanese government indicated that the number of displaced persons had exceeded one million.
Furthermore, United States President Donald Trump announced a three-week extension of the ten-day temporary ceasefire, which came into effect on April 17 between Lebanon and Israel.
However, despite this truce, Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon continue, while Hezbollah continues to retaliate.
