If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this summer, there are some construction updates you need to be aware of at the popular Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

We’ve seen a lot of construction and refurbishments happening at Disney World this year, and it’s not stopping at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, one of the top deluxe resorts on property. Two construction projects will be underway at the resort this summer.

Starting on April 23rd, exterior roofing updates will be made at Wailulu Bar & Grill in the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. This construction is expected to last until late June.

Wailulu Bar & Grill will still be open for service during the construction, but there will be limitations on seating. Walk-up service will be available until 5 PM, with seating becoming available from 5 PM onwards.

Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace at the resort has been temporarily closed due to refurbishment work at the Grand Ceremonial House. This work began in mid-April and is set to continue until late June. Guests may notice refurbishment activities during the day.

Tiki Terrace is a popular spot at the resort, and its reopening date has not been announced yet. It is expected to reopen in late June.

Whether you’re staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or just visiting, be prepared for construction activities at both locations.
