Nussmeier played for LSU, where he was the starting quarterback in 2024 and 2025. He had a 15-8 record as a starter and became the third 7,000-yard passer in school history. In 2024, he led the SEC with 337 completions, 4,052 yards, and 29 touchdowns. In 2025, he had 1,927 yards and 12 touchdowns in nine games.
Frelund praised Nussmeier’s potential based on his performances in 2024 and 2025. He noted Nussmeier’s improvement under pressure and top-tier arm strength, despite some inconsistencies in his overall play.
Klubnik played at Clemson, where he completed 916 of 1,432 passing attempts for 10,123 yards and 73 touchdowns. He also rushed for 878 yards and 17 touchdowns. He holds records for pass completions and attempts at the school, ranking third in passing yards and fourth in passing touchdowns.
Frelund highlighted Klubnik’s off-platform throws and scrambling abilities as strengths for the NFL. Evaluators may question his size at 6-foot-1.5, but his above-average reflexes and response rates are assets. Despite a 65.6 percent completion rate in 2025, drops from receivers may have impacted his accuracy.
