The Toulon Defense Event returns on April 23, 2026 at the Palais des Sports with a clear ambition: to showcase a rapidly expanding strategic sector and directly connect candidates with recruiters. Over 5,000 job offers will be available to candidates of all profiles.
Sovereignty, innovation, social utility: the defense sector is now a key industry at the heart of economic and strategic issues. Recruitment needs are growing rapidly to meet this demand. To address this, France Travail, CIRFA, and the entire employment network are organizing the Toulon Defense Event, a crucial event in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur dedicated to employment in defense and public security.
The Var department is the leading military department in France, with the main naval defense base in the Mediterranean region. It boasts a unique ecosystem with 31,000 direct jobs, 13,000 indirect jobs, and nearly 2,500 defense-related companies. This dynamic is expected to strengthen in the coming years.
With over 200 represented professions, the event caters to everyone: youth, students, job seekers, those undergoing career transitions, from unqualified individuals to those with up to a Bachelor’s degree. The armed forces, public security, civilian defense, and the Directorate General of Armaments will come together to showcase a complete view of job and career opportunities.
In addition to recruitment, the Toulon Defense Event offers a unique immersive experience across more than 3,000 square meters. Visitors can physically explore professions, innovative equipment, and simulations while interacting with professionals to stimulate vocations.
Over 80 exhibitors will be present with nearly 4,000 expected visitors. Thousands of interviews can be conducted on site, facilitating a swift transition from meeting to employment opportunities. With the Toulon Defense Event, the goal is to make these professions tangible, showcase their diversity, and enable individuals to project towards sustainable employment through direct interactions with recruiters.
