On Saturday, February 28, the Cultural Center will be filled with the vibes of Japan. Led by the local youth and the Municipal Social Center, this festive day offers workshops, cosplay, and cinema for all enthusiasts.

Organized and planned by young people, with the support of the municipal social center, especially its youth service, this immersion into Japanese culture promises a rich and eclectic program. From sushi making workshops to video game tournaments on a giant screen in the cinema hall, retro gaming, dance, cosplay, and more—February 28 will be full of rhythm! Several stands will be set up in the spaces of the Cultural Center, including one by the young Toulousains from Sun-Echo who will host the cosplay contest and perform on stage, twice during the day, for a J-Pop show.

“Mon voisin Totoro,” the masterpiece of animation, will be screened at 6 pm. Entry is free for those who come to experience Japan Day. At 9 pm, there will be a second cinema session, at a reduced price, featuring Orelsan’s latest work, “Yoroï.” As in the previous year, many visitors are expected. Registrations for contests and workshops will be done on the spot from the opening; punctuality is key. On-site, there will be food available with Tok Tok and a bar. This will allow attendees to fully enjoy the event, remaining in the atmosphere from morning till night..

Open to all, regardless of age, Japan Day will reflect the young project leaders: cheerful and festive. Sponsored by the City with financial support from Caf, this project is also assisted by the Active Leisure Departmental Fund. The institution has provided a grant that fully meets the organizers’ ambitions, who recently impressed a jury.
