Morocco wins the International Mohammed VI Polo Trophy against the United States

Morocco won the sixth international Mohammed VI Polo Trophy by defeating the United States (9-5) on Sunday at the Royal Polo Club in Souissi, Rabat. From the beginning of the match, the national team, defending champions, set the pace, while their rivals tried to keep up on the scoreboard.

The Moroccans managed to pull ahead at crucial moments by gradually widening the gap. The national team dominated the first chukker (3-1). The second ended with a score of (5-2), and the scoreboard showed 8-3 at the end of the third round.

In the fourth chukka, the national team sealed the victory (9-5). The Moroccan polo players had previously won against the Hungarian team in the opening match before defeating Portugal. Portugal finished third by beating the French team.

Moroccan polo player Sidi Mohamed El Mhamdi praised the victory, highlighting the qualities of the American team in a statement to the press. He emphasized that the match reflects the good relationship between Morocco and the United States.

Following the competition, Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, President of the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Sports Federation, presented the trophy to the national team captain.

Organized by the Royal Moroccan Polo Federation, this international sports event involved six polo teams, including the Moroccan national team, competing against teams from renowned polo nations such as the United States, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, and France.

This event provides an opportunity to compete with top international polo schools, offering a week full of passion and competitive spirit for fans of this sport.
