The end of the season is approaching for most European clubs. The final league matches will take place this weekend, followed by the Conference League final next Wednesday, and of course, the big Champions League final between Arsenal and PSG on Saturday, May 30th (6 pm). It’s already time to start thinking about the future and planning for the offseason, including the transfer window and possibly a change of coach.
For many Ligue 1 clubs, this is the case. While Luis Enrique will stay at PSG, there could be changes on the sidelines at Marseille, Monaco, and even Lens following Pierre Sage’s admission of having many contacts. The lower half of the table is also a topic of discussion, with Lorient and Auxerre looking for a new coach, while Toulouse has just found one. The situations at Le Havre, Angers, Brest, Nice, and Nantes are still uncertain.

As for LOSC, Bruno Genesio is currently contemplating his future, as we revealed earlier this week. His contract is ending, and the coach is considering staying at the club where a Champions League participation awaits him next year, but he also expresses fatigue, not to mention interest from Marseille. It’s only natural to question what comes next. Olivier Létang must therefore prepare for any scenario.
According to our sources, the president of LOSC has identified Thiago Motta as his top choice in case the coach departs. Motta is at the top of a shortlist that also includes Stéphane Dumont (Troyes) and, according to RMC Sport, Davide Ancelotti. After starting his career at Botafogo, the 36-year-old Italian reunited with his father in Brazil’s technical staff. This isn’t the first time Carlo’s son has been mentioned in France. In January, he was a candidate to replace Liam Rosenior at Strasbourg.
