Regional 2 – Departmental 1. Bastien has been faithful to CO Castelnaudary since the age of 11, from his entry in 6th grade to high school in the sports section. The defender, who is approaching 25 years old, was the captain of the regional 2 team for 22 years under the direction of Olivier Hernandez. Despite an injury last season, he continues to contribute his experience as an educator for the youth academy and supports the D1 team with Hervé Dambax until he can return to competition.

Regarding his injury, Bastien suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament with a meniscal tear while attempting to challenge an opponent in the air during an important match against OC Perpignan last season. His motivation to become a coach stemmed from a desire to pass on what he had learned as a player and to experience the emotions and camaraderie of football from a different role.

Currently, Bastien is gradually returning to training and aims to be fully prepared for the upcoming season. He expressed gratitude to the players who supported him during his injury and highlighted the important personal growth he experienced during this challenging time.
