Seniors: A Hope Definitely Gone
On the road to Duran, the 4th in the pool, the Mirandais had to bring back a result in order to hope for a potential relegation. But the players of Football-Club mirandais (FCM) were out of their first half, conceding 4 goals before the break. After halftime, the change in tactics pays off and the Mirandais show signs of improvement.
Mimale and Decoucut quickly reduce the gap, and despite several opportunities, FCM fails to equalize and loses 4-2. A defeat that ends any hopes of avoiding relegation.
In Estang, the Mirandais reserve team also had a tough game. Despite a strong start, the locals managed to come out on top with a 5-1 win. Gomez Ventura had kept hope alive with a free-kick goal.
The youth teams end on a positive note. The U13 team II had a good last day in Gimont with two 2-1 wins against L’Isle-Jourdain III and AGS II. These results allow the Mirandais to finish 6th out of 16 teams in the D3 championship. The U11 team, competing in the Gers Cup final in Auch, finished 11th in a competitive tournament.
The U15 team of Entente Gers Foot Sud, close to a semi-final upset in the Gers Cup, kept Auch, Gers D2 champions and participants at a higher level, on their toes. Despite being behind twice, the young Gersois fought back thanks to their teamwork.
However, a penalty against them after the break ultimately changed the game. In the final minutes, Entente also received a penalty to equalize but failed to convert it.
