New York will be buzzing with the FIFA World Cup from June 11 to July 19, 2026! If you don’t have tickets for the World Cup in New York and you will be in the city during this period, head to the fan zones. The city of New York will set up a fan zone in each of the 5 boroughs of the city: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx. In addition, there will be a huge space in Liberty State Park in New Jersey.

/ Rockefeller Center Fan Zone The main fan zone for the FIFA World Cup in New York will be set up at Rockefeller Center in Midtown. The Rockefeller Center fan zone will be open from July 6 to July 19, 2026. The World Cup Fan Village will be set up around a football field at the Rockefeller Center ice rink. There will be grandstands overlooking the field and giant screens on either side of the field. The Top of the Rock observatory will also be part of the celebration. The observatory at the top of the Comcast Building, the tallest building at Rockefeller Center, will join in the football excitement. You can enjoy the screens to watch the matches and get a 10% discount on all FIFA souvenirs in the observatory shop.

/ Brooklyn Fan Zone The second-largest fan zone will be located in Brooklyn Bridge Park, at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. The Brooklyn Fan Zone will be open from June 13 to July 19, 2026, almost throughout the competition, unlike the World Cup Fan Village at Rockefeller Center. Spectators will be able to watch matches on a giant screen and several activities are planned.

/ Queens Fan Zone Surprise in Queens! The Billie Jean King Tennis Stadium will be transformed into a football-themed space from June 11 to June 27, 2026. The tennis court that usually hosts the US Open matches will be covered with sofas. The Billie Jean King Stadium will even change its name for the occasion, becoming the Queens Group Stage HQ. Awaiting an electric atmosphere!

/ Staten Island Fan Zone Here is the most surprising fan zone in New York! It will be set up from June 29 to July 2, 2026, inside the SIUH Community Park, the baseball stadium located in St. George, Staten Island. The baseball stadium will become an unprecedented football temple, with a giant screen and football-themed activities. To get there, I highly recommend taking the ferry aboard the Staten Island ferry. This free ferry connects the southern tip of Manhattan to St. George. Upon arrival, disembark from the ferry and walk along the New York Bay to the stadium. Just follow the flow of fans!

/ Bronx Fan Zone You will need to be precise not to miss the Bronx Fan Zone! In fact, the Bronx Fan Zone will only be open on June 13 and 14, 2026, at the Bronx Terminal Market. It is mainly an event space for the launch of the World Cup, rather than a place to watch all matches. If you want to experience the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, it is better to prioritize the fan zones in Brooklyn and at Rockefeller Center. However, I still point it out, in case you are in the area on those dates.

/ World Cup Fan Fest in New Jersey New Jersey is also involved in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The New York stadium, Metlife Stadium, is actually located in New Jersey. Liberty State Park will also host the World Cup Fan Fest, a football-dedicated festival, from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Giant screens will be set up facing the huge lawn, towards the New York Bay, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. On non-match days, concerts will be organized. This space can accommodate up to 45,000 people and entry will be charged, starting from $10.
