Line Malric is the vice-president of the Department of Haute-Garonne and also serves as an elected official in the Blagnac town hall.

“It’s her signature, almost like a business card. She proudly shares it, with a certain pride: “#MonAveyronnatal!”. While she has been living in Blagnac for a long time, is actively involved in her municipality as the deputy to the sports, and is working with the socialist Pascal Boureau for her canton of Blagnac Constellation (including Aussonne, Beauzelle, Blagnac, Cornebarrieu, Mondonville, Seilh) with a population of 45,000, and for Haute-Garonne as the vice-president of the departmental council delegated to sports and sports-health (after previously being involved in transportation), she recently, as she puts it, “turned a painful page” by selling the family home near the Cardaillac neighborhood in Rodez a few weeks ago. Despite this, she has not lost ties with the land of her birth.”

“Yes, I have a very strong connection with Aveyron,” she readily confirms. When she talks about it, memories resurface, bringing her joy and pain at the same time. She continues, “My parents and my brother are buried in Rodez, and I still have many friends. It is my home, the place where one always returns.” Line Malric was born on October 10, 1964, in Rodez and grew up in the capital of Aveyron.

Deeply attached to her city, she did not venture far, as she embarked on a preparation for higher education at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Aveyron, presided over at the time by Michel Carrié. She later joined Sup’deCo Toulouse, now known as Toulouse Business School. She recalls, “It was what I wanted, but I didn’t believe it would happen! I failed the first test, and the three-day exam was not going well. My father told me, ‘Do your best. It will always be practice for next year.’ In the end, I was admitted.” This experience has shaped her motto, “Never give up!” After three years of study, Line Malric returned home with a marketing role at Inforsud on the Causse Comtal.”
