Fede Valverde breaks his silence and gives his version of the situation. While the Uruguayan acknowledges an incident with a teammate (Tchouaméni), he assures that the Frenchman did not hit him.

“Yesterday, I had an incident with a teammate during a training exercise, in a context where fatigue from competition and frustration make everything escalate.
In a normal locker room, these things can happen and be resolved between us without it spreading. Obviously, there is someone here who will quickly spread the story, and with a season without a title where Madrid is always in the spotlight, everything takes on exaggerated proportions.
Today, we had a new disagreement. During the altercation, I accidentally hit a table, which caused a small cut on my forehead that required a hospital visit for protocol.
At no time did my teammate hit me, and neither did I. I understand that it is easier for you to believe that we hit each other or that it was intentional, but that is not what happened.
I regret that my anger towards the situation, my frustration seeing some of us at the end of the season exhausted, with our souls in tatters, led me to argue with a teammate.
I am sorry. Truly sorry, because this situation hurts me, because this moment we are going through hurts me. Real Madrid is one of the most important things in my life, and I cannot remain indifferent. All of this is the result of an accumulation of things that ends in an absurd dispute that damages my image, leaving room for those who invent, defame, and embroider around an accident. I have no doubt that the frictions we may have off the field cease to exist on the field, and if I have to defend it in a stadium, I will be the first to do so.
I did not intend to speak out before the end of the season, we have been eliminated from the Champions League, and I kept my anger and bitterness to myself.
