The U17 team of Olympique Barbentanais achieved an impressive record of 91 goals, 19 wins, 1 draw, and 0 losses in the District Grand Vaucluse, making them the best team across all categories. This success comes after a difficult relegation from Regional 2 the previous year. Coach Safir Tammine describes it as a season of continuity, with a clear vision from the start.

Early on, the team showed promise by competing evenly against higher-level opponents in friendly matches and the Gambardella Cup. This realization sparked a transformation, turning the group into a dominant force. Despite facing some challenges, the OB youth team secured convincing victories, such as a 12-0 win over Val Durance, 8-0 against Courthézon, and a 10-0 win over Calavon. Captain Victor Bes, a strong defender and club product, encapsulates the team’s mentality: the original goal was to win everything, and now it’s about remaining undefeated.

The squad, united and built to last, comprises players who have grown up together in this village of 4000 people.
