Ligue 1+ is in the final stages of its first season and is already preparing for its second year. Between Friday, April 24th and Sunday, April 26th, the French Professional Football League (LFP) platform will broadcast eight out of the nine matches of the 31st day of the French Championship for free. Only the match between Olympique Lyonnais and Auxerre, broadcasted by Bein Sports, will not be accessible for free next weekend.

Jérémy Cazadieu, LFP Media’s editorial and marketing director, explained to L’Equipe that the goal for next season is to offer all Ligue 1 matches. To attract the maximum number of consumers, the channel has come up with this special plan for the next matchday.

“The idea is to introduce Ligue 1+ to as many people as possible in preparation for next season. There will be matches, as well as magazines and simultaneous broadcasts. The platform will be free from Friday to Sunday at midnight,” he explained to the sports daily.

Objective 1.16 million

In February, the Ligue channel announced that it had already attracted over a million subscribers. The goal is to reach 1.16 million by the end of the current season and 2.1 million in the 2028-2029 season.

To enjoy the 31st matchday, interested individuals who are not already subscribers will only need to create an account on the platform. They can do so directly on the website or app, as well as through other partners with whom a partnership has been established. “For this matchday 31, we will showcase our expertise in the Sunday evening match between OM and Nice, with the Spider Cam and a new referee sound test,” Cazadieu promised.
