At 69 years old, Claude Onesta has experienced almost everything in the world of sports. From teaching physical education for six years to his five-year term at the helm of high performance at the National Sports Agency (ANS) created in 2019 with the aim of seeing France shine at the Paris 2024 Olympics, to his remarkable success as coach of the French handball team for 15 years, the Albigeois lacks neither experience nor convictions. In his book “Performer – The Method” (Michel Lafon editions), Onesta reflects on the “mission” entrusted to him, starting in 2017, to take the Blues as high as possible in the City of Light, resulting in 64 Olympic medals and 75 at the Paralympics.
