An eclectic and engaged program is announced in the coming weeks at the cinema in LIsle

Tomorrow. At 8 p.m., the high school cinema ambassadors will be presenting the new horror film, “Mérama!”. They will also host a game of Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow before the film.

Thursday, May 28th. At 7 p.m., “The Taste of Others”, by Agnès Jaoui, will be shown in a unique screening. Once a month, film lovers are invited to have a “relaxed and fun” time at the cinema. These events feature a musical aperitif, entertainment, and a comedy film.

Friday, May 29th. From 7 p.m., the League of Human Rights (LDH) of Gers and the Lisloise Citizen Platform are organizing a film discussion around “Orwell 2 + 2 = 5”. The program includes: at 7 p.m., a dinner by reservation via email (communication.olympia32@orange.fr) and a discussion with Jean-Christophe Sellin about his book “Understanding and Defeating Fascism”; at 8 p.m., screening.

From Friday, June 5th to Friday, June 26th. In partnership with Cinephilae and the Regional Film Development Agency (ADRC), a pride film club will be offered with 4 films throughout the month of June for Pride Month: Friday, June 5th, at 8:30 p.m., “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”; Friday, June 12th, at 8:30 p.m., “Water Lilies”; Friday, June 19th, at 8:30 p.m., “Pride” (the session will be preceded by a meal by reservation and animations from 7 p.m.); Friday, June 26th, at 8:30 p.m., “Bambi, a New Woman” (the session will be accompanied by Didier Roth-Bettoni, journalist, critic, and historian of LGBTQI cinema, in partnership with Cinephilae).

Also. The Popular University (Unipop) of Pessac offers films in cinemas throughout France, where a film is shown live with a guest. The “Surprise Heartbeats” evenings are monthly events where a surprise film is shown. Finally, the “Short Films” evenings are offered once a month: starting at 8 p.m., viewers can bring their own food to the cinema.
