In Seine-et-Marne, the Château de Brie-Comte-Robert will host the 2026 Music Festival in a medieval setting full of character. An evening to enjoy open-air concerts, while rediscovering a historic site in the heart of the city on Saturday, June 21, 2026.
As every year, the Music Festival returns to liven up the heart of Brie-Comte-Robert with collective energy and a program that is resolutely diverse. On June 21, 2026, the squares, streets, libraries, and iconic monuments of the city will resonate with music in all its forms. From local talent to established artists, from children’s songs to reimagined classics, every audience will find something to marvel at throughout the evening.
The Château de Brie-Comte-Robert, with its open courtyard and the sound of music in the evening air, offers a unique setting for the 2026 Music Festival in Brie-Comte-Robert. Located about thirty kilometers southeast of Paris, the Château de Brie-Comte-Robert is a historical landmark of the town. Built around 1160 by Robert I of Dreux, son of King Louis VI and brother of Louis VII, the château originally had a square plan surrounded by moats, with a fortified enclosure flanked by towers. This distinctive medieval castle architecture still reflects its defensive function and its role in the organization of the city in the Middle Ages. After periods of deterioration, the castle underwent significant restoration work. Acquired by the town in the 20th century, it was classified as a historical monument in 1925. Since the 1980s, the association “Les Amis du Vieux Château” has been involved in its preservation through restoration, archaeological research, and public engagement.
For the 2026 Music Festival, the castle becomes a meeting place for local heritage and musical ambiance, offering a simple way to enjoy an early summer evening before exploring the program below.
