Cultural offer: A new entertainment venue in Alençon

Alençon’s cultural offer is set to expand with the opening of a new regional entertainment venue in Arçonnay, near the Lidl supermarket. Named the “Strass Palace,” this new venue will combine a café-theater and cabaret, a rare combination according to illusionist Léo Brière, one of the project’s co-founders.

Diverse Programming

The venue, envisioned by local talent, is being developed with the support of Isabelle and Tiago Eusebio, known names in the performing arts industry. The goal is to make it a must-visit destination for weekend outings with a diverse range of programming.

Every Friday night, audiences can enjoy a variety of shows including comedy, magic, impersonation, and theater. Artists like Alex Vizorek (September 25), Roman Doduik (October 16), and Erick Baert (November 27) are already scheduled. Tickets are now available.

180 Seats Available

The venue will feature a cabaret section with performances lasting over two hours by multiple artists, including circus acts, cancan dancers, and singers adorned in feathers, sequins, and glitter. This show, accompanied by a meal, will run approximately 30 times during the season until June 2027.

The cabaret will be housed in a 350m² building previously occupied by the Atelier du Tissu, now able to accommodate up to 180 spectators. Construction began in April, with the grand opening scheduled for September 12th.
