The Hiking Film Festival “Histoires et crapahutes” was born in 2024 from a shared idea of two friends: Jérémie Poizat and Philippe Donadille. The former founded and leads a mountaineering association and has climbed numerous peaks worldwide. The latter leads a collective that produces and directs films. He is passionate about images and also a very good hiker.
“We created Histoires et crapahutes. Everything is in the name!” smiles Philippe Donadille. “What we love is telling stories and hiking. Hiking and nature are gaining popularity and as soon as we proposed our project to cinema operators, they were very responsive.” In 2025, from the second edition, this traveling festival worked very well as it was featured in 95 cities in France and Switzerland, in large cinemas as well as in associative and independent venues.
