The Cap’Music association, bringing together the intercommunal music school and the band Auvergne-Vulkano’Zik, held its general assembly on Saturday, April 11. This was an opportunity to review a successful year.
Balancing musical excellence and a flair for performance, the Capdenac-based group confirms its status as a key player in regional entertainment. The year 2025 was highlighted by the presence of the Auvergne-VulkanO’zik band at the heart of major nighttime parades, such as those in Cavalaire and Villefranche-de-Rouergue.
“The quality of our music and the standards we adhere to are our best calling cards,” emphasized the board of the VulkanO’zik band, delivering a strong response to increasingly demanding festival committees. Furthermore, the focus on nighttime events has proven to be a significant asset. In this regard, spectators have not failed to applaud the creativity of the costumes, noted at each appearance.
The highlight of this meeting was undoubtedly the presentation of the financial report, which brings excellent news: exemplary, balanced management capable of rationalizing costs without compromising educational quality.
Louis Dournes and Françoise Guayroso highlighted the growing number of students and the group’s dynamism.
The upcoming year promises to be just as intense with prestigious events where the VulkanO’zik band is expected. They will participate in the 25th anniversary of the beer brand Ratz in Cahors, then accompany the Meules Bleues in July in Figeac before joining them in September at their festival in Cahors. Locally, they will be in Capdenac-Gare on June 20 for the music festival, as well as at local events in Capdenac-Gare, Capdenac-le-Haut, and Christmas festivities in Figeac.
With a motivated team and ambitious projects, the association continues to proudly represent live music throughout the region.
