At around 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, the kickoff was given. This event was eagerly awaited by the residents of the Caucriauville neighborhood in Le Havre, as well as those from neighboring Aplemont.
Approximately 1,000 participants in costumes gathered to celebrate the spring in a musical atmosphere for the carnival. Alongside them were groups of dancers and musicians, but the stars of the day were the two giant mascots. These were entirely made by the residents of Aplemont, showcasing local craftsmanship and involvement.
“The carnival has grown in scope this year. It has generated great enthusiasm, everyone really got into the spirit,” noted Nicolas Mayo, the director of Fabrique Atrium in Le Havre and organizer of the carnival.
The parade concluded around 5:30 p.m. in the Pré Fleuri sector. To reward the carnival participants, a moment of conviviality awaited the crowd with a snack offered and prepared by the grandmothers of the neighborhood.
