Nadia Farès leaves behind two daughters, including Shana, who has chosen to pay tribute to her in a particularly powerful text. The actress passed away at the age of 57, a few days after being found unconscious in a Parisian pool and hospitalized in critical condition. “I find it hard to believe, but it is the most real thing I have ever experienced. I never imagined you would leave so soon. I thought we had time,” she writes. She then describes moments spent in the hospital: “Seeing you on that hospital bed, hands on your head, kissing your face, praying for any sign of awakening. I still feel your warmth. We begged you to hold on.”

In this narrative, Shana vividly and emotionally recounts the last exchanges with her mother, who was in an artificial coma: “Kneeling beside you, holding your hand, I lowered my eyes and realized for the first time how alike our fingers were. I counted and memorized the freckles on your skin. I know you felt us there. And I know you were not afraid, knowing your children were holding you in their arms,” she continues.

The young woman also recounts a moment that particularly struck her: “When I sang to you and you opened your eyes, I understood that it was a sign, a way of telling us that you heard us.” Before adding: “Thank you for waiting for us, for waiting for us in your final moments before leaving us.”

Beyond these final moments, Shana pays tribute to the close relationship she had with her mother. “You were my best friend. We had become so close in recent months, and I am so happy that we were able to talk to each other so often.” In the rest of her message, she confesses: “I hear your voice in the silence. You understood me better than anyone, and now you are no longer here physically.”

The actress’s daughter expresses a deep pain at this sudden loss. “The universe took you away, and it’s so unfair. This pain is unbearable,” before concluding with a message of love: “Rest in peace, mom. You are my angel. Watch over us, please. I love you.”

To accompany this tribute, Cylia’s sister also shared a series of photos and videos on Instagram. We see her as a child in her mother’s arms, surrounded by her sister, as well as through family memories of Christmas parties, holiday moments, or intimate moments, like when she sings with Nadia Farès.
