On December 28th, Brigitte Bardot passed away at the age of 91. Despite her departure, the French icon continues to remain in the hearts of her many fans. This is evident by the number of people who come to pay their respects at her grave at the marine cemetery in Saint-Tropez. The caretakers of the cemetery mentioned to Le Parisien that, “Come rain or shine, there is always a crowd asking where BB’s grave is! From the morning, there is a continuous flow of people: French and many foreigners.”

It is impossible to talk about Brigitte Bardot without mentioning Saint-Tropez. The star spent her final days at La Madrague, her famous property in Saint-Tropez. She also owned La Garrigue, which was transformed into an animal shelter. Additionally, the former rival of Jane Birkin also owned a stunning Art Deco apartment of over 400 square meters, located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. This apartment is currently up for sale by the Kretz family.

A portrait of Brigitte Bardot created by Andy Warhol is set to be auctioned off. While the sale of her apartment is expected to bring in millions of euros, the same goes for this portrait. In the show “C à vous” on April 10th, journalist Amandine Bégot revealed information about this unique piece of artwork. It is a portrait of Brigitte Bardot by Andy Warhol, currently on display at Sotheby’s Paris for a week. The portrait was commissioned by the billionaire Gunter Sachs, who was known as Brigitte’s third husband.

There are seven other portraits like this, in different colors. Gunter Sachs had requested these portraits from Andy Warhol after his split with the star, and they had never been shown to the public until now. The estimated value of this portrait of Brigitte Bardot is between 14 and 18 million dollars. The expert mentioned, “This is the most beautiful of the three that he kept because this Brigitte has red lips, and out of the eight portraits, only two have red lips. For me, that changes everything.”

The portrait will be presented in London from April 19-21, and then put up for auction in New York in May. The staggering estimated value could attract high bids.
