Nikki Glaser talks openly about her relationship. Recently in the spotlight for hosting the Golden Globes, Nikki Glaser openly discusses her personal life. In a podcast, the American comedian reveals that she tolerates her partner having sexual relations with other women.
Nikki Glaser has emerged as a major figure in stand-up comedy in the United States. Before hosting the Golden Globes this year, she told People magazine, “Everyone is a target. That’s how I see it.” She added, “And if the person targeted by the joke laughs, that’s reason enough for me to make it.”
Known for poking fun at others, the comedian also does not hesitate to expose her own life, particularly her personal life. The forty-something has been in a relationship since 2013 with television producer Chris Convy. The couple met while he was working on their MTV show “Nikki & Sara Live.” Glaser surprises with her statements about the type of relationship she has with him.
In an interview on the podcast “Call Her Daddy” hosted by Alex Cooper, the conversation focused on plastic surgery, but largely on sex. On this topic, she stated, “In a relationship, I don’t care if my boyfriend sleeps with other women.” She clarified, “I’m not someone who enjoys sleeping with others when I’m in a relationship.”
Glaser acknowledged how absurd it might sound, adding, “It doesn’t bother me at all if a man has a sexual relationship with a woman, as long as he protects himself and it’s just a one-night thing. Honestly, it wouldn’t bother me if my partner did that. I don’t even know why.” She even admitted that somewhere, she liked the idea, making it a bit of an issue for her.
However, the comedian does set a limit that her partner should not cross. This limit involves the moments of intimacy that they exclusively share. Glaser explained, “If he watched ‘The Wire’ with her, did crosswords, exchanged messages or memes, then I would say, ‘What are you doing?! That’s our thing.'”
She also added, “Emotional infidelity would hurt me, but for physical matters, I understand how men often view sex outside the relationship. It’s sometimes purely practical.” She revealed that there have been moments of jealousy in the past, especially because she had not informed Chris Convy that other women should be informed of the situation. Additionally, she developed her own philosophy of relationships at the age of 29, recalling how she appreciated stories about past relationships from her ex-partner.
