After the death of Eric Dane, the actor’s loved ones have opened a fund to support his daughters Billie and Georgia. Donations have reached a huge sum thanks to the help of several celebrities.

Following a fierce battle against ALS, American actor Eric Dane took his last breath on February 19, 2026, at the age of 53. Married to Rebecca Gayheart, the star of Grey’s Anatomy leaves behind his daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14. To support the teenagers, close associates of the actor have set up a GoFundMe fundraiser with a goal of $500,000 for “their future needs.” After a brief pause in donations, the fundraising has been verified by the platform, and Rebecca Gayheart has been designated as the beneficiary of the collected money, ensuring that the amount will be properly directed to Eric Dane’s family.

“Faced with a disease progression much faster than expected, his friends mobilized to create this GoFundMe fundraiser to support his daughters,” states the fund titled “In Memory of Eric Dane.” “Every contribution, no matter how modest, will help provide valuable support to his wonderful daughters during this extremely difficult time and for the future,” continues the campaign organizers’ message before emphasizing that Billie and Georgia “were [his] whole life.” At the time of writing this, $417,927 has already been raised for the actor’s family, with the highest donation being $50,000 from an anonymous participant.

Numerous celebrities have contributed to the fund in memory of Eric Dane. Sam Levinson, the creator of the series Euphoria in which Eric Dane appeared, along with his wife Ashley, donated $27,000. “My heart is broken by the loss of our dear friend Eric. Working with him was an honor. Being his friend was a privilege. Our thoughts are with Eric’s family. May his memory be a blessing,” shared the American director with Deadline regarding the passing of the father of Billie and Georgia, who will appear in season 3 of the series starting on April 13, 2026, on HBO Max.

Among the celebrities who supported Eric Dane’s family, Hailey Bieber offered $20,000. American philanthropist Ariadne Getty also donated $10,000. The same amount was contributed by producer Andrew Schwartzberg, screenwriter Brad Falchuk – to whom Eric Dane gave his last interview before passing away -, and producer Randall Emmett.
