On the 22nd of May 2026, the Foussard Women’s Fencing Competition will take place in Lisieux, Calvados, with the hope of attracting international competitors. Two Danish and one Austrian international fencers will participate in the event.
Sarah Schremmer Larsen, the number one Danish fencer according to FIE rankings, is a familiar face in World Cup competitions. Accompanied by fellow Danish fencer Josephine Barfod Damgaard, they are expected to bring stiff competition.
Additionally, Austrian fencer Gloria-Dahlia Legac will also compete in the tournament. Legac, with a strong track record in senior World Cup competitions, recently finished second in a European U23 circuit in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The competition will feature other notable fencers like Elena Seille and local favorites such as Camille Hermay and Thaïs Naucelle-Jardel from Caen. Lexoviennes like Ninon Hartvick and Marion Dagorne are also expected to shine.
The event will kick off at 9:30 am on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Multi-activity Hall in Lisieux. The finals are scheduled to start at 11:50 am, with the podium ceremony at 4:30 pm.
