The approval rating of Donald Trump has fallen to 39%, according to a new Fox News survey. This decline is attributed to inflation, rising prices, and concerns about the war in Iran.

Inflation, gas prices, war in Iran: Donald Trump is seeing his popularity decline even within his own camp. A new Fox News survey, a media outlet close to the president, shows a weakened president domestically.

Donald Trump has dropped below the symbolic 40% mark of favorable opinions. According to the latest national survey, only 39% of voters now approve of his actions, while 61% disapprove. This is an unprecedented level since the beginning of his second term. In total, three points lower than last month in April.

The decrease is not only coming from Democrats or independents. Even among some Republican voters, doubt is creeping in. Fox News notes a decline in certain groups supporting the president, especially among rural voters and non-MAGA affiliated Republicans (-6%).

Nearly six out of ten Americans now rank cost of living as their top concern. The economy is considered “in bad shape” by 77% of those surveyed. Trump now only receives 29% approval for his handling of the economy and just 24% for handling inflation. Even some Republican voters now disapprove of his handling of prices.

Paradoxically, most Americans believe that the United States is winning the conflict against Iran. However, this does not translate into political support for the war. Six out of ten voters now oppose prolonged military involvement.

Less than six months away from the midterm elections, the signal is negative for Republicans.
