The public, young and old, are invited on Friday, May 22, from 7 pm, to the Jean Baduel playground (Londieu) in Figeac with the most beautiful checkered tablecloths, picnic baskets filled with pies, salads, and other treats, and a warm layer for the chilly ones.
On the musical side, Astrolabe Grand Figeac offers a delightful slice of music with an afropop twist by James BKS as dessert.
This unique artist, a singular figure, discovered late in life that he was the son of Manu Di Bango, a producer for top rap artists. He has composed for Snoop Dogg, among others, and transitioned to become a film music composer.
Deeply rooted in his Cameroonian heritage, James BKS takes us on a journey across three continents: Europe, the United States, and Africa, blending traditional African rhythms, pop harmonies, and hip-hop sounds.
For convenience, free shuttle rides with the Lou Fijagol train are available starting from 6 pm at Jean Jaurès square (parking by the footbridge), with return trips provided. Free for all ages (Duration: 2 hours). Note that Gua Bridge is closed. Access Londieu via the lower Cingle path. Prioritize eco-friendly transportation or walking.
