BFMTV correspondent in the United States was able to interview Donald Trump on negotiations with Iran. “They must reach an agreement,” warned the American president.
In a telephone exchange with BFMTV, Donald Trump stated on Saturday, May 16 that he does not know if an agreement will be reached with Iran, with whom the United States has been at war for 76 days.
“I have no idea. If they do not, they will have a very bad time. They must reach an agreement,” declared the American president to our correspondent in the United States, Antoine Heulard.
According to American press reports, including the New York Times, Donald Trump must decide in the coming hours whether or not to resume strikes against the Iranian regime, as discussions on the end of the war and the Iranian nuclear program have not yet yielded results.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in New Delhi on Friday that he had “received messages” from Washington in favor of resuming negotiations to end the conflict in the Middle East, and expressed openness to assistance from Beijing.
