The competition season started at the beginning of the year but the first major event is taking place from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th May. For the very first time, the Haras national du Pin has been selected by the French Equestrian Federation to host a stage of its prestigious Grand National FFE-AC Print circuit in the show jumping discipline. “We are the 4th stage of the Grand National,” said David Jollivet, director of the International Equestrian Sport Center (PISE) at the Haras du Pin. “This is important for us, it will show that the Haras du Pin can organize high-level show jumping,” he added.
The return of the international eventing competition
Also noteworthy this year is the return of the international eventing competition from 29th July to 2nd August, previously organized by the Ustica association and absent from the calendar for several years. The PISE has decided to take over. “Eventing has contributed to the reputation of the stud farm, it is part of our DNA. We will reconnect with the international scene, which will allow us to grow in the future. We just need to get the ball rolling again,” explained David Jollivet.
In June, the stud farm will also host its very first 3-star international show jumping competition (CSI3*), before the international carriage driving competition from 1st to 5th July. “Riders are often amazed by the quality of our facilities. The goal is for the site to thrive and shine throughout the year, in addition to its historical aspect,” concluded the director of the PISE.
