Popular sports event, the Mondial Pupilles has been present since 2023 at the Jean-Charter stadium. From Thursday, May 14th to Saturday, May 16th, 2026, the Stade Quimperlois will host a qualifying pool of the women’s tournament. “The teams will arrive in Quimperlé on Wednesday evening and the matches will start Thursday, at 9:30 am. The first match will oppose Stade Quimperlois to FC Nantes,” announced Gwenaël Pothier, co-president of Stade Quimperlois, who is mobilizing about fifty volunteers for this event.

Eight Teams in Quimperlé

Out of the 24 women’s teams qualified for the Mondial Pupilles, eight teams will compete at the Jean-Charter stadium for a spot in the quarter-finals. In addition to the local team Stade Quimperlois, there will be AS Saint-Étienne, FC Nantes, Standard de Liège, FC Lorient, US Concarneau, FC Fleury 91, and FC Andrézieux Bouthéon. “In our Quimperlois selection, we will have 16 players, born from 2012 to 2014, coached by Tony Gilles. Their goal is to have a great experience against high-level teams,” underlined Gwenaël Pothier.

Saturday afternoon will be the opportunity to watch two quarter-final matches. Plomelin will host the finals on Sunday with 5,000 spectators in attendance.

Matches of the Quimperlois Team

The schedule for the Quimperlois team is known. They will play against FC Nantes on Thursday at 9:30 am; Standard de Liège on Thursday at 1:30 pm; FC Andrézieux Bouthéon on Thursday at 3:30 pm; FC Lorient on Friday at 10:30 am; AS Saint-Étienne on Friday at 1:30 pm; FC Fleury 91 on Friday at 4:30 pm; and US Concarneau on Saturday at 2 pm.
