The objective is clear. Les Maritimes want three points against a promoted team from Tarbes which is having a very good start to the season. “Tarbes is a very good team with good ideas about how to play. In the first leg they managed to equalize (2-2) even though they were playing with one man down since the end of the first half. It’s an opponent that will give us a tough time, we are aware of that. But it’s also the promise of a nice match between two teams that will seek to play.”

Première à domicile

This will also be the first home game for the new recruits Théo Chendri (US Colomiers), Lhoan Claudan (Etar Veliko, 2nd division in Bulgaria) and Malek Benkheira (free agent), if they are part of the group selected by the new coach Laurent Dauriac. Dauriac will also make his debut at the Jean Brousse stadium in Arcachon.

Inspired by Christopher Glombard, Dauriac remains pragmatic: “For once, we will seek to implement our style of play. In terms of points, the idea is to reach the thirty point threshold as quickly as possible, which will likely mean staying in the league. We will assess the situation at that point to see if we can hope to join the fight for promotion.” However, Les Maritimes will have to do without the services of Dimaël Clichy, Florian Duval, and Nolan Pinto, all injured.
