    HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Recovery doesn’t end when the skies clear.

    March’s Kona Low storms caused widespread damage across the islands, with communities on OÊ»ahu’s North Shore and MolokaÊ»i experiencing infrastructure damage, significant crop loss, and disruptions to livelihoods.

    Families, farms, and local businesses are still struggling to clean up, rebuild, and recover.

    Hawaii News Now is dedicating May 12 to raising money for ongoing relief efforts with ALOHA for HAWAIʻI.

    The live, daylong fundraising effort — in collaboration with hospitality industry leaders and partners — features community voices, artists, nonprofit partners, prize giveaways and more.

    An online auction opens at 6 a.m. Hawaiʻi time and includes travel packages and vacation stays with flights provided by Hawaiian Airlines, plus accommodations at hotels around the world.

    From 3 to 7 p.m. Hawaiʻi time, Hawaii News Now will be taking calls while offering incentives to donate, supported by local businesses.

    Donors’ names may be read live on TV and may appear in the on-screen ticker.
