The talkative duo of colleagues, created by Alex Lutz and Bruno Sanches in 2012 on Canal +, is set to be adapted for the big screen, reveals Le Film français.
We missed them so much. Catherine and Liliane, the two office gossips, portrayed by Alex Lutz and Bruno Sanches, are back. According to information from Le Film français, reported by allociné, the duo created for sketches on Le Petit Journal on Canal+ in 2012, will return to the cinema.
The program, which featured two sharp-tongued editorial secretaries commenting on current events with accuracy and humor.
For four years, their hilarious exchanges, led by the blonde Catherine (Alex Lutz) teasing the brunette and naive Liliane (Bruno Sanches), were the highlights of Le Petit journal. And while Catherine and Liliane survived several seasons after the departure of Yann Barthès on TMC, they definitively left the airwaves in 2019.

Alex Lutz, awarded a Molière on May 4th for his show Sexe, Grog, et Rocking Chair, has directed a TV film and four movies, including Guy in which he played an old French music star, and Connemara, based on the book by Nicolas Mathieu.
His partner Bruno Sanches also appears there. Equally comfortable as a middle-aged coquette with a pearl necklace, as a Santa’s elf or a prehistoric man, he recently starred in Opération Portugal 2 or Gueules noires.
We don’t know when, or in what form, Catherine and Liliane will grace the big screen, but we’re looking forward to it.
